Fuerteventura really has something for everyone. Maybe you want to sit back by the pool and enjoy the year-around sunshine. The more energetic may wish to explore over a hundred and fifty miles of sandy beaches or the myriad of tracks that criss cross through the vast areas of rocky terrain, rich in it's own unique fauna and wildlife.
A good way to plan your holiday is to pick up one of the free magazines that are distributed around the island. One of these, 'Grapevine' usually has a wide selection of things to do and see as well as a huge range of places to eat and drink. You might want to access it's contents on the web before your visit to Fuerteventura, in which case click on the link. Grapevine Magazine
However, here are a few suggestions to get you started:-

Car hire is cheap, £100-£150 a week and with it's quiet roads, (by British standards!) the whole island can be driven around in a day. However, for the more adventurous, a car will allow you to seek out the small fishing villages and empty beaches that public transport can't. Trip to see The American Star. Once one of the largest luxury liners, The American Star ran aground where she has remained ever since. A surreal backdrop, the sandy beach makes a superb picnic spot, but you have to find it first!
